I live in SD 23 and we held our Precinct Convention on Thursday, March 3. It seemed to go fairly smoothly, but as usual, very low turnout. I mailed out newsletters, including an invitation to over 400 households in my precinct and only the former precinct chair came out to participate. I understand the majority of folks out there abhor politics, especially as bad as the vitriol is getting. But we need to figure out a way to get more people involved. Showing up to vote is just not enough anymore.
